Become a host
Hosting international students can be a rewarding experience. Helpers HQ constantly requires new host families for both long term and short term placements as we always have amazing students from different parts of the world studying in Canada.
Day private/public school students can require accommodation for up to a year. Likewise, boarding school students also need temporary long weekend or school break accommodation.
For the peace of mind of parents and students, we work with highly qualified hosts who are passionate about supporting foreign students. We make sure our hosts:
Undergo regular background checks
Adhere to HelpersHQ scheduled visits
Obtains relevant insurance
A host should
Enjoy learning about other cultures
Enjoy meeting new people
Provide a clean and safe accommodation for students
Settle a student into their neighborhood
Provide 24hr supervision
Create a safe living environment for students
Guide the students on house rules
Ensure student follows school policies
Provide food the students like and ensure 3 meals + snacks are provided daily
Provide a private room, beddings and study area for student
